Kainor is a company specializing in 3D printing and laser cutting, which produces both its own products and custom orders. 3D printing is mainly done using environmentally friendly PLA plastic, and laser-cut products are made from domestic birch plywood. Kainor commits to three sustainable development goals as a Greenreality partner. The first goal is to minimize material waste, especially in laser cutting of plywood through design and more efficient recycling of material waste for reuse. Additionally, the recycling possibilities of other materials, such as waste material from 3D printing and printing filament spools, will be explored.

The second goal is to inform customers about the accessibility of the company’s premises and store using public transport. The company is located in Uus-Lavola, Lappeenranta, which is easily accessible from the city center using local transportation. The third goal for Kainor is to familiarize itself with the carbon footprint calculation program Y-HIILARI and start regular monitoring of the company’s carbon footprint using it.
