Local energy for Rauha

The area of the Lappeenranta Holiday Housing Fair in Rauha is powered by local energy. Up to 80% of the energy demand of its buildings is met by locally renewable sources, in a hybrid energy unit. In this unit, heat is generated from a combination of sources, including geothermal energy, solar powers and natural gas. Produced in close proximity to the users, local energy serves the residents and guarantees comfortable, environmentally friendly living.

The local energy solution in Rauha is the first of its kind in Finland.
The local energy solution was implemented in partnership with Lappeenrannan Energia Oy and One1 Oy. The solution is flexible and can be adapted to the growing demand of the future.
