Fiini Vintage

Fiini Vintage - Sustainable Style from Past Decades!

Fiini Vintage is a boutique selling vintage clothing and accessories, as well as a sewing studio, located in the heart of Lappeenranta on Raatimiehenkatu.
At the core of our operations are circular economy-based vintage items - clothing and accessories made from high-quality, durable materials between the 1940s and 1990s. In addition to being ecological, these pieces from past decades are also unique, each with its own special atmosphere - it's rare to find two exactly alike!

“Our selection includes items for both everyday wear and special occasions. Before being put up for sale, each item is carefully maintained (e.g., washed, repaired) so that customers can easily start using them right away” says the entrepreneur Sanna Vuorenmaa.

In the sewing studio, we repair existing garments and create new custom-made pieces for clients. Through alteration and repair services, a garment from a customer’s closet can be transformed - for example, adjusted to fit better if their measurements have changed, or turned into something entirely new, like converting a dress into a skirt! We also offer services like patching jeans. These practices extend the life cycle of garments and materials, reducing waste. At Fiini, you can order anything from a wedding dress to everyday trousers as a custom piece.

The studio also produces a few items designed by the entrepreneur herself. These are mainly made by repurposing materials - for example, a skirt can be made from old curtains, and scrunchies are crafted from leftover fabric scraps from other sewing projects!

Sustainability in the center of the business

Sustainability is reflected in many aspects of Fiini Vintage’s business, which is built around the principles of the circular economy. Selling vintage and second-hand clothing, along with offering repair services, extends the lifespan of existing garments and reduces textile waste. Day-to-day operations are powered by emission-free electricity and carried out with resourcefulness in mind. The entrepreneur commutes by bicycle, often transporting products for sale in the bike’s basket!

The business also aims to raise awareness about the benefits of recycled fashion. On social media, Fiini shares inspiring content about vintage styles and challenges the throwaway culture. The entrepreneur has also helped organize outdoor vintage and flea market events!

Alteration and repair services can lead to all kinds of creative transformations of garments customers already own, so we also showcase client projects on social media to encourage sustainable choices.
